Tulips and Alpacas, What a great day!

So yesterday we got up and it wasn't raining so we decided that today we would go to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. And it just so happens there is an alpaca farm near by. Well we went to the alpaca farm first. Here are some pictures of it.

At the farm's store I got yarn. Big surprise. It's cotton candy blue and I'm thinking cabled hand warmers.

Then we went to the tulip festival. I know this has nothing to do with knitting but I find it inspirational. Here are some pictures.

I love tulips. They're one of my favorite flowers.

Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Talks About Knitters and Knitting

On the 21st Stephanie Pearl-McPhee gave a talk on knitters and knitting at Third Place Books. It was about things non knitters don't get about us and how knitting is really good for us. If I tried to tell you how funny and clever and hilarious it was I'd fail utterly. You just had to be there. She really is amazing.
