Playing Referee

Today has been spent refereeing the kittens. ("Sam" and "Freddie" are living up to their names!) Fortunately this involves lots of sitting around, which makes knitting possible. Yep, my "Odd" sock is moving along nicely. I finished the whole heel today. I found it really confusing and generally mind-boggling. But I followed the pattern, although it was hard to not just tinker with it, "one needle" that surely can't be right, but everything was right and it looks very good now.

I am hoping to spend a few cat-free hours in front of the TV watching The Great Ziegfeld and continuing on the sock. And if I'm lucky, I'll fall asleep.

Restart

So I decided to restart my "Odd" socks. Why? Meh, I don't know. I just felt like it. I'm trying working from the toe up, which is fun because I've never done it before. So far I'm liking it.

I frogged it on Tuesday and as you can see have been making great progress. Working on it while I watch The Mark of Zorro and Canada: A People's History.

Well in the true Seattle style it is pouring down rain today. Darn, I love to watch my neighbor's egg hunt. It's so fun to watch a bunch of kids run around with baskets looking for eggs.

This sock yarn reminds me of that quote. It's that pistachio shade of green. It's also self-striping, which will result in socks that don't match!

(I love that quote. Fun character. Sheila McCarthy does a great job. I love her as Sarah Hamoudi in Little Mosque on the Prairie! Love that show!)

Who Watches the Watchers?

I finally looked at my Google Analytics page today. That is so fun! I mean people from Brazil have looked at my blog. Isn't that cool! And Egypt, and Russia, and Turkey! It doesn't mean that they actually read my blog ( in fact the average time on my blog is less than a minute.), but it's still cool. If you have a website you should check it out. Very fun.
